Leupold Scope Serial Number Location

I saw a post on this site showing how to tell when a Leupold scope was manafactured by looking at the serial number. I made a copy of this page but have since lost it. Anybody know where I can fine this?9. When was my scope manufactured?Every Leupold scope produced since 1974 will have a letter included in the serial number acting as a date-code.
Scopes using a letter as a prefix (the beginning of the serial number) were produced between 1974 and 1992. Scopes using a letter as a suffix (the end of the serial number) have been produced after 1992. On the chart below, you will notice the letters “I,” “O,” and “Q” have been omitted as they are easily mistaken for “1,” “0,” and “0” respectively.Prefix: Suffix:E = 1974 A = 1993F = 1975 B = 1994G = 1976 C = 1995H = 1977 D = 1996J = 1978 E = 1997K =1979 F = 1998L = 1980 G = 1999M = 1981 H = 2000N = 1982 J = 2001P = 1983 K = 2002R = 1984 L = 2003S = 1985 M = 2004T = 1986 N = 2005U = 1987 P = 2006V = 1988 R = 2007W = 1989X = 1990Y = 1991Z = 1992.
Hi all,So, my Samsung R580 died (very unfortunate) and I bought an HP 4740s (the probook model) and after doing some research I would already figure that the WiFi / Bluetooth combo card won't work because there is no driver for it.Well, I read some linux forums and there does seem to be some sort of solution with compiling it. Hp ralink rt3290 driver.
#N#Determine the age of a used Leupold scope. You can determine when it was made by the serial number located on the center saddle section. Beginning in 1974, Leupold began letter coding riflescope serial numbers. All scopes produced during that year had the letter E as a prefix to the serial number. The next year the letter code was advanced. Weaver's Micro-Trac system ensures rifles, handguns & shotguns are mounted with quality scopes. Register your Weaver scope today.
